Dubai is attracting every kind of travelers and catering them well according to their demands but the competition to grab more money from them gets harsher day by day. As there are so many hotels popping in Dubai, it is very difficult to rate which one is the best and at top. Whatever your search point is, this is the first place to start reviewing Dubai and to enjoy the exploration of crazy world of its hotels.
Burj Al Arab is the luxurious and legendary hotel in Dubai. It is one of the tallest buildings of the world that is converted exclusively into a hotel. Burj Al Arab soars to a height of 321 meters. It is an impressive world class hotel that has attracted international travelers in such a short time. Burj Al Arab holds 202 bedroom suites accommodation where you will be entertained with exceptional personal services. Tantalize your taste buds with the freshest and finest taste of Arabian cuisine with spectacular sea view in the opulent interior.
Atlantis, It’s what Dubai is all about. A festive season at Atlantis that is full of holiday attractions for every kind to ensure you enchanting experience in New Year holidays. The building consists of two towers having 1539 rooms. Special plans are in queue to make your New Year’s holidays dazzling and unforgettable for years ahead. True form of traditional festivity is on the floor to entertain all ages, serving of special local cuisines with sweet scent of cardamom and cloves. Experience the true festivity.
3. Bab Al Shams — Jumeirah
If you are after a pure exploration of sand dunes of Dubai or want to know the reality of romantic desert fairy tales, it is the right choice. Bab Al Shams is a superb mixture of tradition and modern comfort with a wide range of recreational facilities. Explore breathtaking desert vistas with mouth watering cuisine in splendid ambiance with soft background music. Traditional Arabic lanterns are showcased here to give a rustic look of furniture. Enjoy the true combination of comfort and hospitality.
We chose to spend our vocations in Arabian Deluxe. I had heard that it is a tradition of Al Qasr Hotel that the staff greets you before you greet them and that was very true. The staff at Al Qasr showed us different places at the hotel when we arrived. They were very friendly and provided excellent personalized services to us. Whatever we asked for they had it for us. The room was spacious, beautiful and endlessly comfortable.
At Al Qasr there are a variety of restaurants where you can enjoy your lunch and dinner. We tried some of them. All were excellent but the buffet at Al Qasr hotel was the best. As most of us are seafood lovers we enjoyed our dinner at Pierchic restaurant too. It had the most delicious and amazing seafood i’ve ever tasted. Apart from the restaurants each corner of the hotel is worth watching. The architectural designs are amazing. Different portions of the hotel are linked with waterways. The views at hotel, their gardens and large pool areas are really attractive. You go to the beach side and you are served with towel, complimentary drinks and cucumbers.
The Abra boat ride and the buggy ride at the hotel are really amazing. Kids really enjoyed them but the service is kind of slow and we had to wait for long to get them. However, the shuttle service to the Mall of Emirates and to the Wild Wadi Water Park is really quick which comes every 15 minutes.
The health club, spa, water sports, swimming pools and kids Sinbad club really provide you an excellent, entertaining and relaxing life time experience. At Al Qasr Hotel you are away from the noisy environment of Dubai and you are not surrounded by Dubai skyscrapers as well. Al Qasr Hotel for me is The place to experience luxury services and enjoy endless comfort and entertainment.
Low business activity
As the financial crunch panicked in, it directly affected the level of business activity carried out in Dubai. Dubai has been a trading hub of UAE. With decreased levels of business activity the vacancy rates of hotels in Dubai increased. This will improve over time and till it gets to the required level, hotels in Dubai have to survive at the bare minimum.
Increased direct and indirect competition
With a reduction in the number of people coming to Dubai, the competition in hotels has also increased. The rates have been revised many times in the past few months, which have gradually eroded the bigger portion of margins earlier received by hotels in Dubai. Apart from the direct competition faced by luxury hotels in Dubai, they are also being exposed to the indirect competition. A lot of real estate agents in Dubai are making arrangements to fill the gap of vacant vacancies by accommodating short term visitors to Dubai. These short term visitors earlier used to stay in Hotels, but now they can pay less and live for more time.
Reduced foreign traveling
Earlier foreigners were flocking to Dubai because of the economic boom all over the world. With the financial crisis hitting the entire western world, hotels in Dubai have been deprived of a major share of clients from abroad.
Pegging of AED against dollar
Dubai currency has been pegged against dollar. Financial crisis in Europe has reduced the values of euro and pound sterling against the US dollar. This has also reduced the purchasing power of the foreigners coming into Dubai from Europe. Thus pegging has also impacted the hotels in Dubai indirectly.
Cheaper alternates to Dubai
Dubai is a costly place, and even though financial crisis has hit Dubai but it hasn’t been able to lower the cost of traveling and living in Dubai. On the other hand there are many destinations for the tourists in Europe and other parts of the world, which are much cheaper than Dubai.
Dubai’s tourism and hotels industry will have to look into all these problems to bounce back from this dull period of economic slump.
The Address Hotel Downtown Burj Dubai
The Address Downtown Hotel is the most luxurious hotel where style meets the tradition with sophistication. The exceptional thing about this hotel is that it treats each guest as an individual experience and offers exceptional services and comfort to impress everyone. This is a unique combination of exceptional services and individual attention that provokes every international traveler to come back and stay over here. The hotel is like heaven away from a modern world so you must go there for a luxurious stay.
Raffles Dubai
The Raffles Dubai stands out from the first moment you see it and you will fall in love with its interior, which will make you believe that you are at a place out of this world. The hotel is spacious, flawlessly clean and attentive staff which makes your stay comfortable. The exceptional in-room services includes laundry, satellite TV, iPod docking station, 24 hrs Internet access, in-room dining services, private balconies, bathroom TV and Jacuzzi in all suites. Travelers in the Middle East also appreciate the spacious suites, the attentive and thoughtful service the hotel offers.
Jumeirah Beach Hotel
Beach Hotels are the biggest attraction of tourism in Dubai and as the name suggests this hotel is located on beach. The hotel entices the customers by inculcating royal feelings in them and this quality makes it among top luxury hotels of Dubai. The hotel evokes a sensation that is unmatchable as the amazing theme of sand and water gives a mirror touch of a huge wave to its exterior. Service is outstanding, staff is extremely helpful and welcoming and rooms are comfortable. These all things and its location make it outstanding choice in Dubai luxury hotels.
With purchasing a timeshare property owners can reap a lot of benefits. Firstly, timeshares allow the owners to fix a consistent rate for their stay in Dubai. As they are shared by more than one owner they are highly inexpensive as compared to any luxury hotel in Dubai. This allows the owner to save a lot of money during a vacation. Secondly, the owner can rent the timeshare if any year he does not wish to spend the vacations in Dubai timeshare resort or hotel. He can then get the rent for that specific time period during which he was given the ownership.
The last but not the least, the owners of timeshare resorts and hotels can also exchange their timeshare property with the other timeshare properties all around the world. Apart from all these the timeshare property owners can fully enjoy the culture and opportunities of adventure in Dubai. The timeshare owners in Dubai don’t need to manage their time and pack all activities in one week’s time because they know that they can enjoy the true spirits of Dubai next year at their full length.
At the time when spending vacations in Dubai is getting more and more expensive, purchasing a timeshare is an affordable option for many as it allows them to enjoy the luxuries of Dubai in minimum budget each year.
In 2011, it has been reported that Dubai hotel sector is responsible for boosting residential and retail sectors as they are showing better performance for the last nine months consecutively. Due to the greater volatility in the other regions of the world and Dubai, being the hot spot for the tourists is attracting people from all over the world to reschedule their holidays to Dubai. This is making Dubai once again the much sought after destinations of the world.
The major area responsible for benefitting the Dubai hotel sector to this extent is Arab Spring. Not only this, Arab Spring is also boosting residential and retail sectors of Dubai real estate market. In the first quarter of 2011, Arab Spring has showed remarking performance due to the greater number of GCC nationals visiting Dubai. Thus occupancy rate in 2011 almost stood at 78%, which is quite better than the poor performance months.
All the major hotels of Dubai like Jumeirah beach hotel, Holiday inn Express Dubai, Hilton Dubai creek, Citimax Hotels, Al Hamra hotel etc are showing good occupancy rates. The major reason behind it is that the tourists are making their comeback to Dubai. Dubai airport showed year on year arrivals of 9.8 percent, which indicates greater number of tourists coming to visit the country.
The tourism sector, if on hand, is boosting Dubai hotel sector then on the other hand, it is boosting retail sector as well. These tourists shop from the Dubai shopping Malls because Malls are recording better sale activities. With already so many hot tourist destinations in Dubai, Government is planning to build more hotels and structures for tourists and uplift its real estate sector through it. As Dubai hotel sector is showing signs of resilience, experts are predicting better times ahead for Dubai rental and overall real estate market.
The latest news show that Abu Dhabi has extended the rental cap on rent increases to 9th November 2012. According to the state run news agency, if landlords would increase the rentals during the entire tenancy period, it should always range between 0-5%. This rent cap will protect tenants because during the tenancy period they would not be charged rental increase of more than 5%.
When the property sector was flourishing in UAE, both Dubai and Abu Dhabi introduced price caps to protect the investors. The rent cap is expected to provide many benefits, which can boost Abu Dhabi real estate in the long run. These benefits are discussed below:
Transparency
Since 2010, reports on performance of UAE real estate show stabilization or slight recovery in property prices. Some experts believe this recovery is fake because property owners are increasing rents or prices based on their feel good factor and this increase in prices is not backed by increase in demand. This is contributing to non-transparency of the market. This rental cap will bring transparency in the market because landlords cannot raise rents beyond a certain specified limit.
Stabilization
As this rent cap would be applicable on the rents of all properties in Abu Dhabi and it will prevent rental hikes so we can say it’s a step to set the track of Abu Dhabi realty markets towards stabilization. With the extension of this cap, government has plans to uplift the market and set its track towards stabilization and once the market will be stabilized, government will take steps for its recovery. The recovery taken through it would be even and uniform and due to its pervasiveness, it will bring good change in Dubai real estate sector as wel
This decline means that Dubai hotels are becoming affordable for larger numbers of tourists. Mostly tourists around the world are looking for affordable holiday destinations and Dubai is quite popular for its eye catching tourist spots and marvelous hotels. High profile classic tourist spots cast a lavish and deluxe image in tourists’ minds but honestly speaking, high-rise hotels, high rates and lack of public transport contributed to Dubai Economic issue back in 2009.
Worldwide tourism Consultancies explain the reason of boom and then fall of Dubai tourism scenario that is; “Dubai appeared as a symbol of magnificence and opulence out of no where and this image grew too rapidly. Even when there were not enough hotels, people still wanted to visit Dubai and it let the figures feel that what so ever you do, tourists will be mushroomed and will come there at all costs. This dream was shattered when Dubai faced economic crunch and every sector felt its after affects, hotels prices were declined and luxury rooms started becoming available to almost everyone. It is because every hotel was advertising itself at highly competitive rates and average daily room rates were decreased.”
However, now the hotels rooms’ rates have declined and most of the hotel owners are advertising their hotels as the most affordable hotels in Dubai. It impacted well on Dubai tourism industry. The occupancy level is slightly moving up and at the end of 2011; it rose to 75% as compared to last year’s occupancy level that was 69.3%. It is a positive sign; and now let’s see what Dubai has still to offer to support its tourism and hotel industry?
This sort of question is very obvious from tourists so I decided to answer this email on this blog. Let’s come to a part of your question in which you asked where you should stay? Dubai offers a wonderful collection of high class hotels, resorts and short stay apartments to cater people with every taste and budget. Dubai has numerous world class hotels that have much more to offer the tourists. Let’s talk about few five star hotels that every tourist must consider.
Atlantis – The Palm!
If you want to enjoy your trip according to a true Arabic theme then you must plan to stay in a five star hotel, The Atlantis. The towering arches, deep domes and flamboyant spires describe complete Arabic architectural design that gives you constant surprises. Every room and suite presents a magnificent view for people of every taste.
One&Only Royal Mirage!
Another tribute is paid to Arabian architecture by the architects when One&Only Royal Mirage (The Palace) resort was constructed on Jumeirah Beach. It is considered as one of the most stylish resort constructed alongside beach. The hotel has big rooms, huge pool and water sports centre. Visitors can enjoy every activity there such as tennis, sailing, surfing, windsurfing, beach side volley ball, diving, snorkeling and can enjoy full spa treatments and shopping in the world’s famous shopping malls.
Rest of the 5 star restaurants will be discussed in the next post soon.

Perfect, this post will help you in deciding your accommodation in Dubai.
No matter what real estate agents state, the ever growing prosperity of Dubai is a clear indication of continuous growth and development. Dubai is growing at fast pace and swift speed. A decade ago, who thought that the very sandy and little quaint city will be transformed into a bustling and happening metropolis. Anyone can notice the incredible difference in the infrastructure that completely changed the outlook of the city. Tourism is one of the biggest income generating sectors of Dubai and officials are transforming Dubai to attract tourists from every corner of the world.
The city is continuously witnessing the ongoing construction projects in form of magnificent hotels buildings, skyscrapers and apartments. Many long awaited hotels construction projects are also on the way of completion showing that Dubai has the world’s leading travel and tourism industry. It does not mean that only elite class can afford to travel far and wide in Dubai and enjoy stay in luxurious hotels.
Once there was a time when staying in Dubai hotels was very expensive and affordable by rich people only. Dubai has become cheap and realistic with the passage of time. Don’t worry, I am not talking about staying in seven star hotels but cheap accommodation is also available in Dubai now. The concept of apartment accommodation has brought revolution in the tourism industry.
Cheap apartments, affordable rooms and hotels are preferable choices for all who are visiting Dubai for short stay. These cost-effective options are preferable choices nowadays and provoked everyone to come and visit Dubai as it is no more leisure for elite class only. Internet has made everything easier and worth enjoying. Online booking prior to your visit makes you relax and gives you ample scope to pre-plan your journey without spending too much time thinking where to stay, how to find an affordable place for short stay in new city.
Almost every hotel offers online booking facility, however, the decision to stay in seven star hotels or any cost-effective apartment entirely depends upon you and your budget. However, I will suggest you to stay in affordable hotel as these hotels provide many facilities and offers to their guests just to attract more customers in the long run.
In the following post, let’s assume what travelers must do before landing into Dubai and staying in any of the hotels there.
Health Check!
The city is touted as “the clean city” of the world and therefore no special kind of vaccination is required before going to Dubai but to be on safer side, it is better to undergo a health checkup. It is just to avoid any health complication, if you are traveling from a health-risk area. Taking tetanus or flu inoculation is recommended, especially if you are planning for a long trip.
Hepatitis A is very rare and is transmitted just by infected water and food so be very careful while eating food anywhere in the city. Hepatitis B, C and D are transmitted through sexual contact, blood transfusion and through unsterilized needles. You must be very conscious wherever you are and when you are in any city.
Other Lesser Health Risks!
Mosquitoes are everywhere in towns and cities, though government is trying to get rid of them completely and got remarkable success in this combat. However, different kinds of moths and mosquitoes are found in desert and beach areas, especially if you are staying in camp. Therefore, mild fever tablets and mosquito repellents are recommended to carry along you to avoid falling ill while visiting to Dubai.
Weather is extremely hot in Dubai and to avoid heatstroke, you must carry ample amount of drinking water, hats, sunglasses and sun block lotions, to protect your skin.
This is all for today. I am not saying you not to fly to Dubai to enjoy your holidays; I am just saying to take preventive actions before visiting.

Dubai Hotel sector is showing signs of resilience
Since 2010, Dubai hotel sector has been showing signs of resilience. In 2010, Dubai hotels witnessed 3.3% increase in their revenue. This was mainly because guest’s arrival in Dubai increased to two million in the last year. This spelled as good news to the Dubai real estate stakeholders and they started to expect better times ahead. Since then, Dubai hotel market is showing better performance on month on month basis.

As Dubai hotel sector is showing signs of resilience, experts are predicting better times ahead for Dubai rental and overall real estate market.
Benefits of rent cap extension in Abu Dhabi
The boom, which gulf real estate experienced in 2008, hit Abu Dhabi quite late so the glut of supply never remained as big an issue as it is in Dubai. This is the reason that Abu Dhabi witnessed modest declines in property prices and rentals even in bad times. Government of Abu Dhabi is vigilant and careful to fight against the slump of Abu Dhabi real estate sector and take effective steps from time to time.

With the extension of this cap, government has plans to uplift the market and set its track towards stabilization and once the market will be stabilized, government will take steps for its recovery. The recovery taken through it would be even and uniform and due to its pervasiveness, it will bring good change in Dubai real estate sector as wel
Is economic downturn mean more tourism in Dubai?
Economic Downturn has caused many troubles in almost every field of life but its effects are especially visible in tourism and hotel industry. Dubai is also not an exception, tourism has declined and consequently, Dubai hotels’ rates have also decreased. As there are always two sides of pictures, so being optimistic, we can take out some positive hope out of this pessimistic news. And the positive side is that declining hotels room rates are attracting more tourists and it is a healthy sign for both Dubai tourism and hospitality sector.

Dubai hotels where everyone wish to stay once at least!
I used to get emails from readers who ask my tips to help them in planning their trip to Dubai and UAE. Therefore I have decided to discuss this matter in upcoming blog post. I got an email from Susan Smith, who wanted to pack her bag from the USA and decided to celebrate her 18th birthday and vacations along azure and sandy beaches of Dubai. She asked that she has listened a lot about this holiday destination but does not have any idea where to stay, how much they charge, which hotels are the best to stay and how much money is needed for two weeks stay?
This sort of question is very obvious from tourists so I decided to answer this email on this blog. Let’s come to a part of your question in which you asked where you should stay? Dubai offers a wonderful collection of high class hotels, resorts and short stay apartments to cater people with every taste and budget.

Though Dubai is a clean and safe city for tourists and Dubai Government carries out immunization programs successfully to keep the tourists and travelers healthy and safe. Due to strict rules and regulations imposed by Dubai Government and provision of clean water and high standards of cleanliness in Dubai hotels, the city is honored as one of the cleanest cities in the world. There are no reported cases of any severe travelers’’ illness. Hotels and restaurants are kept clean according to the high international health and safety standards. This is about city but being a tourist, you must also be aware of health risks and it is always better to be on a safer side.In the following post, let’s assume what travelers must do before landing into Dubai and staying in any of the hotels there.
